Rosacea
What is rosacea?
Rosacea is a chronic inflammation of the skin, mainly characterized by widespread redness and the appearance of small visible blood vessels (telangiectasia) on the face. It occurs more frequently in fair-skinned women, especially from their thirties onward, with a peak around menopause. The most commonly affected areas are the cheeks, nose, and chin. Depending on its severity, rosacea can flare up and present more pronounced symptoms such as papules or burning sensations.
Causes of rosacea
The exact causes of rosacea are not yet known. Contrary to popular belief, it is not linked to alcoholism or addictions. However, certain triggering or aggravating factors have been identified, such as sun exposure, stress, strong emotions, temperature changes, consumption of spicy foods or alcohol, and the use of certain cosmetic products. People with fair or sensitive skin are generally more prone to it.

Rosacea Treatment
Photorejuvenation with IPL
Intense pulsed light (IPL) selectively targets visible blood vessels beneath the skin. It heats these structures to gradually reduce them without damaging the surrounding tissues. This treatment is non-invasive, quick, and well tolerated, with visible results after a few sessions.
